Under the artistic direction of maestro Mauro Carpi – excellent Sicilian musician, committed to follow the traditional roads with the violin – the festival will see on stage «many Sicilian artists – Carpi emphasizes – thanks to the collaboration with the Conservatory of music “Antonio Scontrino” of Trapani and the Higher Institute of Musical Studies Arturo Toscanini of Ribera. Fourteen exceptional events, which will unfold between the Garden of Palazzo la Porta (seat of the City), Piazza Santuario and Piazza Carlo Barbera (ex Marinella), with important ensembles on the international scene, exceptional instrumentalists and vocalists. This second edition adds some novelties compared to the previous year: the 5, 6 and 7 August, in fact, will also be held the “Colomba Bianca Swing Camp“, with dance lessons that will see on the track professionals, fans and all those who want to spend an evening of quality music».
A journey through sounds and contaminations that recall the great masters of swing and jazz, from the twenties to contemporary rhythms; an event (free and open to the public until seats are exhausted) that this year has further raised the level of quality, thanks also to Colomba Bianca, partner who strongly believed in the initiative: We have married this project, realized in synergy with the Municipal Administration of San Vito Lo Capo – emphasizes Dino Taschetta, president of the cellars Colomba Bianca – convinced that who is present on the territory with entrepreneurial activities, it must operate with a view to social responsibility, seeking to influence with concrete actions and becoming a reference point for the community: from solidarity projects, to cultural projects, through entertainment, Our goal is to enhance Sicily and the Sicilians. After two years of pandemic there is a desire to escape, to relax, to have fun: thanks to Colomba Bianca Swing Festival we are sure that we will be able to bring a breath of joy in the name of good music, with the dual aim of highlighting also the Sicilian musical art, including in review many local bands that will alternate with internationally renowned artists».
